Duplessis' Orphans is the story of a group of young boys marked by fate, who learn to survive every day with a steadfast friendship. Unaware of the negotiations taking place in the dark, they still remain their best without knowing their fate and that of their friends have just been sealed in a handshake heavy political shenanigans.
Seeing a solution to its financial problems, the clergy transforms an orphanage into a psychiatric institute. To prove the purpose of this institute, orphans are condemned to madness by their own "saviors" and become prisoners of a situation of no return.
In this mini-series inspired by real events that occurred in the 50s in Quebec, the lives of innocent young people rocking in a reality atrocious and intolerable when the church, the medical profession and the government keep it a secret.
