There are two of them: a mother and a girl. They have no names. And they are in a constant run. The mother runs away from the daughter in an attempt to start new life, and the girl runs after her mother as she has no idea how to live without her. This endless run is full with repeated mistakes and resembles a barrel-organ sorrowful song or a spinning-top rotation. This small ridiculous toy "volchok" was the first toy in the girl's life, the only thing that tied her with the mother. But one day this running comes to an end. - IMDb

This film makes for a rather uneasy viewing. It seems that throughout the bulk of it, it is the girl that's in the role of the adult to some extent. For most of the scenes between the mother & daughter, the girl is facing a mother who's either completely dead drunk, or suffering from terrible withdraw symptoms. This serious subject is definitely not getting any 'Hollywood treatment' here, people, so we get plenty of 'questionable' scenes resulting from these situations (although pinpointing fitting keywords proves to be difficult... but they are indeed 'questionable', that much is clear)!
Overall a difficult film to watch... which I guess must mean it's a good one, as it certainly manages to affect you.
