Billie Speare

Billie Speare is a gritty drama wrapped up in a magical tale of courage. It is the story of an eleven year old who transforms herself and inspires others with her beautiful and creative spirit. Billie is grieving the recent death of her mother, getting bad grades and persecuted by a quartet of bullies. The film opens on an especially bad day which culminates in a fight between Billie and her sister and guardian, Kate. Alone in her room Billie finds a memento of her mother's love that inspires her to put her ideas of acceptance and love in the form of a play.
