Winner of the top prize at the Third European Student Film Festival (Munich ’83), The Egg is a wordless portrait of two children. A subtle picture about their feelings and mutual attachment, but also about growing up poor. The film tells the relationship between brother and sister, as well as their loneliness and the need for heat. Much of his action is in a modest apartment, in a gray shabby townhouse. The story in the Egg is only told by picture and music. They communicate with gestures, facial expressions, and glances.
