This film is the story of Adan, a Puerto Rican boy in the 1950's, who has two days to find a new home for his pet goat, Chiva, before his family relocates to New York City. While searching for a new owner for Chiva, Adan discovers the promise of first love with his childhood friend, Denise, whom he will also have to leave behind. The excitement and anticipation of change, coupled with the impending loss of Adan's playmates, makes for a compelling, personal story with universal appeal.
