Allegedly based on true story but either the girl is the unluckiest on earth and surrounded by paedophiles at every turn or there is a large amount of fiction whose sole purpose is to outrage, shock and make the audience feel sad. While I'm sure the real story must have been pretty sad in itself, I don't really buy this sad-fest of a fiction. However, the performance of young Brooke is really impressive and some of the scenes must have been difficult to film. So I give it 8/10 for the perverted imagination of the director who, without showing much, shows much more, and for the young actress performance. Rating: 9/10 |
