When Alex finds her roommate and best friend dead, she turns to his gaming friends to learn more about him. She brings a strange game with her that she found among J.B.'s possessions. Sensing that J.B.'s death had something to do with the game, Andrew, Celia, Nick and Alex decide to play a few rounds. With every card that is played, the group finds themselves being pulled deeper and deeper into a world they cannot hope to understand.
