An ambulance, a bus and a car enter the small town of Starolessk: Kulygin appears from the first, Sanya Balabin appears from the bus, and Bim jumps out of the car, followed by Proshkin, a colleague of the cop Makar Klimov, who was hospitalized with appendicitis. Following them, Sobolev and Sotnikov come to the town. Their appearance here is not accidental: each hero received a letter from 11-year-old orphanage Pashka, in which it is written that he is the father of a little boy. Evidence of what was written are photographs of the alleged fathers with the boy's mother, whose face is covered with a heart.
