Bolle-Bob is one one Denmark's most famous stage musicals for kids, telling a meagre storyline of kids fighting
against a real estate developer, who wants to build a shopping mall in the rural village. The kids, led by streetwise scoundrel Bolle Bob, fight back through song and dance. The succesful musical was a hit in Denmark, resulting in a movie (2005), a tv series and this low budget made-for-video adaptation, which looks rather silly and inadequate if you haven't seen the stage show. Many of Denmark's youth talents star, and as a vehicle of songs and morality, it's a funny and historical documentation.
