Hi maybe someone here knows...

First movie is set in India, a woman and her two daughters move there. The little girl is almost bitten by a snake at one of the local markets. At night there is an Indian guy who meditates and the little girl rises from her bed (sleepwalking???) as if under his power and is taken away by boat. The movie then moves on to maybe 10 years later. Late 80's early 90's movie.

Second movie is a recent movie, early/late 90's when a young Jap girl ~11 years old takes care of an old blind man.
