The title 'La petite allumeuse', which roughly translates into "Little teaser", refers to 14 year old Camille, who is portrayed as a vulnerable young teenager and at the same time a strong-willed seductress. She makes her camp counsellor, Jean-Louis, who by the way also is a friend and a colleague of her teacher-father, fall for her. He in return experiences his second youth when starting dating Camille after their return to the city. Their relationship is a dangerous, but romantic love, kind of like a kids 'crush' type of thing with some necking & petting, but they never go 'all the way'. After hitting a rough spot in this relationship with Jean-Louis, Camille turns her attention to a former pupil of his, Samuel, a boy close to her own age. This new relationship with her much younger love turns into something much more adult than Camille's relationship with Jean-Louis had ever been. Not only has Camille, now 15, her sexual debut with Samuel, but she also has a seemingly normal relationship with him in other aspects. This helps her grow up more, though sadly for her in more than good ways as it turns out. It is a coming-of-age film, showing Camille not only spending time dating Jean-Louis, but also have a normal teenage life, friends, school & partying and the normal conflicts a teenager has with parents. - Translated by Al
