The film is about the group of friends Ikko, Amalie, Babb, Murmel and Ling, who all play in Gamle Tomter Brass Band. In preparation for the upcoming Norwegian Championship, the whole band goes to a summer camp, but for the youngsters it's not just about playing music. The impatient Amalie has only one goal in mind, and that is to have a boyfriend. The ambitious Ling hopes that her great talent will be discovered, while Ikko simply hopes that Ling will discover him. The band is led by the malicious and manipulative conductor Elisabeth, who is determined to throw the youngsters out of the band, as she desperately wants to win the championship.
