Matias and Jeronimo know each other since childhood. Their friendship takes a new turn during the holiday before starting high school when they both experience their sexual awakening. Matias's father breaks up their relationship by accepting a job very far away. Family's contempt against homosexuality brings Matias to deny his friend and himself. More than ten years later, Matias returns to his old town for carnival with his girlfriend. He unexpectedly runs into Jeronimo. В 2015 году Папу Куротто снял короткометражную зарисовку "Матиас и Херонимо". Вскоре ему удалось найти деньги на реализацию сценария полнометражного фильма, но уже с другими актерами в главных детских ролях. Эстерос дель Ибера - гигантский заповедник на северо-востоке Аргентины. Две семьи живут рядом с заповедником. Семьи дружат, дружат Матиас и Херонимо, мальчики из этих семей. Постепенно их дружба становится всё более близкой. Но один из них уезжает с семьей в Бразилию и возвращается в родной город только через 10 лет вместе с девушкой, на которой хочет жениться...
